November

The Month of the Holy Souls

Throughout November we remember our dead at every Mass. Envelopes for your November list are at both church doors. Return them to the basket, or drop them into the parish office.

Our Mass of Remembrance for everyone buried from the parish in the past year is on Sunday 15 November at 3pm in St Fintan's, followed by tea in the parish hall.

The Sacraments

Baptism

Celebrated on the second Sunday of the month after the 11am Mass. Please call the office at least six weeks before, so we can arrange the preparation evening.

Marriage

Contact the priest at least six months before your date. Remember the State needs three months' notice too, given to the civil registrar.

First Holy Communion

Saturday 15 May 2027 in St Fintan's. Enrolment Mass for families is on Sunday 22 November at 11am.

Confirmation

Friday 12 March 2027 with the Bishop. Sixth class candidates will receive a letter through the school.

Funerals

Your funeral director will contact the priest for you. Our bereavement team can help you plan the readings and music.

Sick calls

If someone is seriously ill at home or in hospital, ring the parish mobile at any hour.

Parish Newsletter

Printed copies are at the back of both churches every weekend. Notices for the newsletter should reach the office by Wednesday at noon.
